Remote control buttons
Menu - Depending on your remote, the menu can be accessed from the following buttons:
Source – Allows you to change between different devices connected to the TV, for example, swapping between your YouView box and a games console.
AD – Turns Audio Description on and off.
SUB – Turns the subtitles on and off.
DEL - Delete.
Info – Opens the information box to find out more about a programme. This can be done on the programme you are watching, in the Guide, the Guide tiles on the Menu as well as MyTV and the MyTV tiles on the Menu.
Zoom – Interactive Zoom is an accessibility feature to support the visually impaired. It allows the user to zoom into the screen to see areas such as the guide and menu on a larger scale.
Using your remote in the Guide
Guide – Brings up the guide on your YouView box. Like the menu, it can also be dismissed by pressing the ‘Guide’ button again or pressing ‘Back’.
Page up and page down – Allows you to scroll through the guide page by page rather than pressing the down button.
Fast Forward & Rewind – As well as their usual functions for recordings, you can also use these in the guide to skip to the next or previous day for the same time slot. This is a great way to see what’s on later in the week and get some recordings set up.
Green button – If you’ve scrolled forwards or backwards in the guide and want to get back to what’s on now, hit the green button and you’ll land on the programme which is live now.
Blue button – This is the categories button. Pressing this highlights the bar near the top so you can narrow down the channels you are looking for by filters such as HD, News and Children’s.
Yellow button – Brings up edit channels (if you have the compatible software version) where you can hide any channels you no longer wish to see.
